Buck Showalter is 4-0 in his debut with the Orange Birds. He is doing something right since hanging up his analyst title and going back into the dugout. I don't think there is any near term threat to upsetting the AL EAST standings, but the "O's" could upset the apple cart by being a spoiler down the stretch.

Don't think you will have any problems finding seats. My brother-in-law was at last nights game with his family. He texted me during the game and said the place was empty. I would like to see that come back. It is a great place to see a game. Having a winner will bring the fans back. Just like Cleveland, 10 years ago, it was a tough ticket to get.
Birdman,

We attended a game in June while we were house hunting, and I will admit it was remarkably easy and affordable to get pretty prime seats. It was my first visit to Camden Yards. The Orioles won! We had a great time, but I agree with you - - nothing like winning to fill seats. I hope they start making a comeback so more people will come out and enjoy the game. I'm planning to go a lot. I currently live in Rochester, NY - - and there's no major league baseball here Frown. Frontier Field is a lot of fun for a triple A park, but the Red Wings have been doing terrible too . . .I'm just thrilled to be able to see AL east games now in person. . .
Winning beats losing. But I wouldn't get excited about sweeping a team (Angels) who were 3-9 in their previous twelve games. It's not uncommon in sport to get a two week emotional boost from a change in coaching styles. Then things settle back into normal. Sometimes a team with a management change finish strong (September) because they're motivated playing teams that have been eliminated. In the big, long term picture they still have a clueless owner calling the shots.
Perhaps the biggest waste in terms of a team primed to be a winner. A few key quality free agents instead of ones finishing up their career and the O's could make a run in 2011.

When Angelos goes to see his maker, St. Pete's going to be at the pearly gates and he'll ask," So Peter (and I'm not talking to myself) what exactly did you do with the Baltimore Orioles? You buried them in the ground, didn't you. Throw this worthless servant into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

NoteFrownThis is just a parody, I'm not really suggesting....)

Gnashing: now that's a word Orioles fans can relate to.........
