How do we locate/contact coaches for these teams?

I just found this website...it's awesome! Everyone is saying get on a good summer team, but how can we find these teams in our area? I don't want to ask the highschool coach because he may not appreciate me looking at other teams besides his. The league we were in last year was a joke, and I really don't want to waste another summer doing that. Please help...thanks!

Catchersrule...welcome aboard....lots of threads to pick from...lots to learn from...there are mom's (like me), coaches, showcase experts, scouts, dad's, players and a great mix of opinions with many views.

I know there are plenty of Florida folks who will chime in with advice...I know there are lots of great teams in Florida.

We are also looking for a summer team for my son to play on. Any help in locating a team in the Dallas - Ft. Worth area would be appreciated. My son is a catcher,sophmore this year playing on the varsity team. Any contacts you might have would be great.

BamaBomber, just looked at your link again and saw a team from Neptune Beach. The head coach is Gus Hardee. Does anyone know how to get in touch with him? Also, this may be a dumb question, but I just realized that the players on these teams are from all over. Here goes the dumb question, how do they practice, etc.?

Most summer teams use housing arrangements (dorms, host familes, etc.) for players traveling distances from where they are stationed.

If you want the drive try the Savannah Chain. Elite team that gets their players noticed by colleges and pros. But you better bring your A game. They are pretty stout.
