How Do You Score This??

Bottom of 6th inning, 2 Outs, Runner on 1st. Batter hits a ground ball between first and 2nd that hops up and hits the runner that is advancing toward 2nd. Runner is out, inning over.

How is the batter scored?

Is it a hit, fielders choice, or is it an at bat? Does the hitter come up 1st to bat next inning (Didn't matter in this case as we were home team and didn't play the bottom of 7th.)

batter is credited with a hit. Put out is credited to the closest infielder to the hit runner.
