I'm a 2012, and I live in the suburbs, so as far as pro scouting there are scouts from most of the organizations within about an hour from me (I looked it up). My question is, how good do you have to be exactly, to have a solid chance of getting drafted?
As a RHP, I know it's different with everyone, such as submarine, knuckleball, etc., but what is the general minimum velocity they will look at as far as getting drafted? 87 consistently? touching 90? I ask this because it's the year for me to send the schedule out for next summer to these guys if I might have a shot. BTW I know I'm not a top 10 round pick, but 11-50 is still getting drafted and although a lot of people don't sign and go to college by those rounds, it's really nice to have options. I'd like to hear from everyone that has been there, players, coaches, scouts, parents, anyone, because it takes a lot of time to get 31 letters together for the teams and scouting bureau and if I'm not good enough I don't want to waste my time.
Thanks
