The following excerpts are from an article (8/5 Boston Globe North) on the Massachusetts LL state championship.

" (name deleted) was cleary fatigued after reaching 79 pitches through two innings and was also in pain. There was a bandage around his right elbow and at times he was clutching his elbow in pain."

" (name deleted) also stayed in the game despite being hit in the helmet by a fastball. Though in obvious discomfort he chose to stay in the game."

Is a LL state championship important enough for one player to possibly cause damage to his arm and another to play with a concussion?
