to a 2015 summer team. How man may have changed teams or were coerced away to another team. Did you or are you in the process of trying out for a 2015 summer team. I'm thinking this may be some good info for some of the newer members/guest to hear about.

lefthookdad, "2105" is a little far out for my great grandkids to think about 
, but my 2017 has gone through the process for 2015. Sorry... 
He switched to a better travel organization as of last fall. I always knew he would end up here, but at a 100 mile each way trip we were waiting to make that move. He had at least 4 organizations to choose from and I believe he has made the right choice.
There has been attempts, by others, to get him to move, but he's happy where he is.

A team has formed already for the 2015 season for my 2018. A local baseball organization wanting to get a jump on the others for the better players. Tryouts for most of the local known travel teams takes place either within the next 2 weeks or right after the new year.

That's the norm for Illinois. Most, if not all teams for 2015 were formed in August of this year after the summer teams concluded.
I always thought that interesting since so much can take place in 6-7 months time. Some of these players that get passed over might grow and blossom and by next summer be the best player in their area. I guess there is no better time since high school runs right up to Memorial Day in most places.
Gatornate, Very true, however in the north Most tournaments for summer are done by late July.So that is when players are still at their peek performance per se. Really hard to tryout from mid october thru winter. Then HS season starts tryouts in end of Feburary, beginning of March. So summer teams would not be formed until mid May or later.
