My son received feed back from a college coach that wanted him come to a camp. My son can not make the camp (he may now) which the Coach said he already new because my son had sent him a schedule when he filled out an on line questionnaire.

Coach also said I will see you play this summer.

Now he wants him to fill out another questionnaire but wants him to mail this one. He doesn't want him to do this one on line.
Is there a reason they have you fill it out again and mail it?

Lots of potential guesses as to why:

1) Some college coaches are not real comfortable with the web and email

2) Their processes for getting forms from the web into recruiting folders doesn't work very well.

3) They get so many web based forms that they ignore all of them and only pay attention to the paper ones that they ask people to fill out

It doesn't really matter why - as someone once put it to me - Recruiting at this stage is like a pickup game - and the coaches are the team captains who get to pick the players (and there are way more than 18 players waiting to play).
