an interesting problem a ball player who is
dating his HS coaches daughter wants to break up with her, but is afraid if he does the coach might take it out on him and reduce his playing time.

His teammates suggested make her break up with you first. They suggested crazy stuff like stop bathing or brushing your teeth. But the players mom would not let him in the house until he showered and cleaned his teeth. Any other suggestions?

Wow, 53 posts since joining April 12. Not very shy are you? Smile Judging by TR's post yours probably wasn't serious, but believe it or not I have a story that's similar. Last year my son was a sophomore on the varsity team. He didn't play much due to playing the same position as the senior Capt. On the JV team was a freshman catcher, bigger than my son but no more athletic or talented. There was talk that he was going to give my son a run for his money when he was a sophomore and my son was a junior. Most believed my son would have no problem holding on to the job but there was talk. As last year's season came to close guess who started dating the varsity coach's daughter? That's right, JV catcher. My son had no problem with it as he knew he was the better player, but my wife, OMG, she was incredulous! In the off season the varsity coach resigned to take job at a DIII college in our area. My son said the JV catcher's panic was palpable. What was JV catcher's response to the situation just before this season started? ELECTIVE shoulder surgery, effectively ending his spring and summer seasons this year. I guess he figures to try and unseat my son next year. The new coach's daughter is about 2 years old though.
