How to get it all started

I am a 2017 (yes you read that right) catcher that is in need of some help. I realize i have not even started High School yet, but i am confused on some things. First, can i contact the University's Head Coach inquiring about camps and giving them my information, even though i am a Freshman? I know they cannot contact me until sometime near my Junior Year, but am i allowed to contact them? Is this recommended? If i showed continued interest in a school (camps,letters,tapes,etc) all 4 years, that would help get me noticed correct? I realize its early in my case but, i don't want to miss out.

You can contact the school whenever you want. It's okay to attend their camp and express an interest in their school but let your talent speak for itself. Give it some time to see how good you get.

Right now focus on baseballimprovement and getting the best possible grades. Always have a great attitude. Grades matter. All your high school grades will be submitted to the admissions office. You are likely to get more academic scholarship money than athletic scholarship money. D1 and D2 programs aren't loaded with baseball scholarship money. D3 doesn't have any.
