Have heard a few girls say they like to give birth to a future MLB player and were wondering what qualities they should look for in a future husband.

Such as height, body type, IQ, $$$ and athletic ability.

Now that's a good one!Big Grin

Sure those girls wouldn't just rather marry a MLB player.

Tell them to have a thousand babies with a thousand different guys and that should improve their odds to about 10%.

Better odds yet, if they have a thousand babies from a thousand MLB players.

Andy, you have outdone yourself on this one! What were you doing when these girls told you that? I've never ever heard a girl say that.

Did you volunteer your services?

Being completely serious here...

How about someone who has a sense of perspective about life and won't destroy a kid psychologically in their effort to turn them into a superstar. This includes not burning them out and not giving them confidence problems.

Too many guys have the tools but don't have the makeup.

I believe that in some cases that is due to all of the abuse and pressure that has been directed at them by parents and/or coaches.
BEE, you beat me to it.
You know how I like to spin thing's??

Anyway how to produce a major leageur?

You get some red clay.
You find the heart of a Lion.
The strength of a Bull( Moose ).
The determination of a pack of wild dog's.
Skin as thick as a Rhino's.

That will get you through T-BALL?

The rest is up to the Player.

Didn't I read somewhere here about the "perfect" body type for a baseball player--projectable, anyway---

Over 6'2'', sloping shoulders, long legs, high ***... or something like that.... I can't recall the thread.....

My daughters are still young, but I sure am going to suggest that they place "height" pretty high up on the list of desirable traits in a future husband.....and height for the future wives of my sons, too....All things being equal, why not go for the tall ones?

Wasn't that the family from N. CA, dad was a HS football coach and the kid eventually went to USC and then the Raiders. He was a bust at both and then had other issues. Maybe the name was something like Ma?????vich.
Some lurking over-bearing dad is right now calling Dr. Andrews to schedule his 13 year old's TJ surgery (not because he needs it but so he can throw harder) and asks to speak to the Dr. about High A$$ surgery.

"Hello Dr. Andrews, while my son is on the table is there any way you can move his a$$ up say 6 or 7 inches?"
HOF1962, here's another one for ya Smile
You got it sir. That other pic of a WPBL(Womens Professional Baseball Uniform) was taken at the HOF display for ladies. I really like the movie, "League Of Their Own" and believe we should do what the umpire says in the "No Crying In Baseball" scene I posted a while back. Quote from movie: "Treat each one of these women as if they are your very own mothers" Smile We should apply this to all the moms here at HSBBW messageboard. Don't you think?? We should also grant their request to have their own chatroom time. peace shep

Whiel I HATE to lend credbility to this thread....

Actually sorta happened...

20 years ago a unmarried sports journalist decided she wanted a professional athlete for her son/daughter. Chose the top NBA player, waited for the oppotune moment and seuced him in a bar after a game one night. Got pregnant. Had a daughter. raised her to be a professional tennis star from day 1. AND in part supported her by daughter by writing about her quest...at the least the tennis portion of the quest. Daughter grew up to be top 40 in the world. Made some good money. Story broke about who the father was. DNA Test. He admitted to it. All walk away with money and fame. Happy ending.

True story.

Cool 44

High School phenom drafted by the the Charleston Sound (formerly the florida Marlins) received a 10 million dollar bonus, a contract with a shoe company and a 5 million dollar contract with Spermdonor USA. A spokesman from Spermdonor USA, stated that with contract residuals from future pro athletes the contract could be worth 100 million. He cited the high a$$ of the phenom as the deciding factor in signing him to this contract. "His butt is between his shoulder blades"
