Hows the weather?

pretty ****** here. Freezing rain makes the roads trecherous, now we are supposed to get snow on top of that. Out very early this morning delivering newspapers and some roads are very slick.

Ya,the gym I work at has been closed for the weekend.

I hope this clears by tuesday

Not to bad here - lots of rain. Hubby works for power co though - he has been gone since Sat. morning! Working mostly in Alton since then.

We've got powdered sugar snow here on top of a layer of ice. Makes driving dangerous, especially cause it doesn't " look " too bad out there with the sun now shining.

Had enough snow to cancel our indoor winter batting league and summer showcase team practice,... and a camp down at Emporia State,...bummer!!! ugh!

Guess its better to be safe, than sorry, though!

I actually picked up on some hockey here.Just threw on some cleats and played with some friends in the yard(what was once a perfect backyard baseball field,is now a nicely layered ice rink)luckily,they live very close

Got about 6-8 inches of snow last night,..the pretty powdered sugar fluffy kind! Gorgeous,..but made it impossible to travel to our tournaments and baseball camps today. UGH!!!!
How about anyone else? Whats it like in your area???

We also got snow - but only about 3 to 4 inches. Roads are clear though. Glad it happened on a Sat. night instead of a Sunday night!!

Ice and snow earlier in the week topped with about 6 inches of snow last night. The snow plow finally came through this afternoon and buried the entrance to my driveway - about an hour after I had gottten it dug out. I miss Florida!

I am such a sucker for my oldest son. We drove 2 1/2 hours Saturday to get to Springfield for a baseball camp at Missouri State. When it got out, it had just begun the sleet/snow/rain routine. So, I drove us to my aunt's house to spend the night so we could go to day 2 of the camp today. Unfortunately, it was the "winter dance" at our school and my son's little girlfriend was a queen candidate. So, I caved against my better judgement because it was mostly raining and agreed to drive home (and then back down there this morning). Well, as you can imagine, the roads went downhill fairly fast and we made it just a little over halfway home when I decided that I just wasn't going to drive anymore and pulled into a hotel. And, the dance was canceled on top of that. So, instead of 2 1/2 hours down on Saturday and then again back on Sunday, I drove an additional >2 hours in sleet/freezing rain/snow and then 1 1/2 hour this morning getting back to Springfield. ARGHHHHH! The things we do to make our kids happy......
