Summer ball or a later start would definitely be better. When the weather is so cold neither the players or the fans can enjoy the game to its fullest extent. Having players pitch when it is below 40 is definitely hard on their arms and miserable on everybody.

Yes, I think that they could if they wanted to, however, alot of the coaches don't really care if the kids are miserable or if they hurt their arms, they just want to get the games in. Just from what you have read about the number of pitches that some coaches let their pitchers throw, you can't think that they would cancel just because the weather is cold do you.
