Anyone watching this on FSN? Why are these kids using wood bats? Am I missing something?

There is another thread currently active about the game:

Many of these players are future pro prospects, as are many of the players who compete in WWBA and Perfect Game events. It seems a natural extension for this All-Star game to also allow scouts to see the players using wood bats. And, well ... the crack of the bat sounds so much better than the ping!
