DBAT 3-way scrimmage today at Green Hill should be very interesting. A few college and pro scouts are hanging out as well. Heard a few scouts are leaving the Regionals to come and see a few 18U pitchers today. I also heard tychco may be hanging out in a tree somewhere reporting for the blue.

SWAC,
Blah, Blah, Blah about the scouts and the coaches.

Just make sure you stay out of the dugout and you are wearing the correct attire. I will have my own scouts out there watching you and making sure you are not out there "Running for Mayor"...

Get a chair, sit in it, and shhhhhhhhh...Enjoy what you and the guys built...

Once again. shhhhhhh

SWAC was there all right. He had a strike zone the size of Texas...LOL (although he was behind the pitcher, sans the chair).

Then there was another guy calling (same location) and he used his wife's paper towel holder as a strike zone guide ...LOL

Lot's of blue, and white, and black and very, very fast balls flying around today; and that was just the dads. Wink

I'd venture to say the scouts were impressed with their 18's.

Great day, despite the heat. Greenhill has improved their fan facilities since the last time I was there. Great shade!

Greatness... Big Grin
SWAC,

I was hanging around, but I am too old and fat to climb a tree.

Good looking group of boys...should be a fun and competitive summer.

Don't let collikar get after your strike zone...at least half of those called strikes were within 6 inches of the plate... Wink

You just wanted to get them swinging the bats.
Tycho, you are right you couldn't climb a tree.
Great game Sunday - Dave Ostroffs Marshalls team and Zach Randles Mustangs team played 8 innings and the Mustangs pulled it out 2-1. Great teams, well coached and you know who would own tycho jr. if he was at the plate.

Great pitching job by Cameron White. He is talented, despite his paternal DNA.

Tychco... good thing Cameron got his talent from mom's side of family. If he had dad's DNA he couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time... lol

CW threw 118 pitches and was throwing harder at the end of the game. Maybe a few too many but he has incredible mechanics.

Maverick:

Wow Eek 118/with incredible mechanics....he must have had a good pitching coach!

Have a great summer....we will miss you all and the pit stops along the way.

Good Luck from the Goldbergs!
Today in sports.....DBAT 18 defeated Mustangs 18 on a no-hitter by James Foster, 2-0. Both teams were missing important players but #29 did a great job on the hill as did the Mustangs' Picca. The DBAT offense was held in check with the only runs coming on a 2-run HR by Plano East's Justin Snider. It was a tight game from start to finish. The 'Stangs have a great lineup. It was nice to see Jack Giese back in town, unquestionably one of the top debaters in Texas baseball. He's a master -- winning his sole argument against a terribly over-matched ump. Cool

In the nightcap, the Marshals 17 hammered DBAT 18 -- with Corey Brooks throwing a 1-hit gem, finishing with 6 consecutive K. This is a very good Marshals group, with good coaching and a strong lineup. (and Daniel Jordan owns PS III Cool ). There should be great battles between these Marshals and Rusty's evil blue.

More baseball tomorrow.

Oh -- and a very poor umpiring crew for both games today. ***shrug*** <-- no impact on the outcomes

PD - I have a trivia question for you....what do the 3 outstanding pitchers you mentioned have in common? Smile

CU -- I really have tried over the years to view umpiring as a difficult job -- and to give the guys the benefit of the doubt. But when a crew doesn't know the rules, can't confer with each other, are easily swayed by coaches complaints, can't remember the outs in an inning or the count.......'nuff said -- I am not even mentioning the zone. Hey, they aren't losing sleep over my opinion.....I won't lose sleep over their ineptitude. Cool
