Kyle Marsh, a 2013 at Spruce Creek HS in Daytona Beach tossed a perfect game yesterday. HS no-hitters are not uncommon, but perfect games are special. I don't recall another.

He's a UCF commitment that touches 94....been to a few PG events, ironically. Smile I'm recommending a 10 rating.

Joe McCarthy of Bishop Guertin HS in Nashua NH tossed a perfect game on Tuesday Night. Joe struck out 6 in a 1-0 win against Manchester Memorial. Joe is committed to pitch next year for Southern NH University.
Wow, fun stuff for all those boys, both the pitchers as individuals, but also of course the defensive talent behind them. The stars have to align just right for that! (although #32 son sounds like he did it all by himself. Good stuff.)

How common are PGs and No Hitters in HS, are there any stats on that? I know my 2013's recent "no no" was one walk shy of a PG, but that one walk makes all the difference!!

I would imagine the number of PGs and NHitters also depends on the conference you play in, and talent disparity between teams of course, so maybe tracking that stat on a national level is not very useful data.

We see lots of No Hitters written up for HS softball, but seems like only a few for HS baseball in our state papers.

Nativefan, btw, one of my son's senior teammates is headed to SNHU as well, and will be playing ball there. I'll tell his mom about the PG of his future teammate Smile
