Over the years I haven't posted much about my son, but today I just had to. Last night he and his team won their section title (highest level of HS baseball in California)! This is just a terrific finish to his 4 years of HS baseball. We are so proud of him we could bust and to see him reach his dreams is just too sweet. Smile

RHP05Parent - you beat me to it. I logged on tonight to add a thread about the game and Eric's performance.

I was at the game in question, and was able to see E pitch. He did a great job - his control and pitch variability was fantastic, and he kept the opposing team players off balance for the entire time he was on the mound. I say this with some reluctance, because the team he was pitching against was my son's alma mater biglaugh pull_hair. That being said, congratulations to Eric on a great outing and a wonderful end to his high school career!

"Shoulder Impingement Syndrome" may cause either a sharp pinching or a nagging dull ache and is caused by repeated activities involving overhead motions of the shoulder, i.e. pitching. You REALLY need to see an orthopedic doctor for a diagnosis as an impingement can be very minor, like my son’s case, or can be very serious depending on the underlying causes. The impingement my son experienced was just a minor inflammation. MRI showed that all was normal and the discomfort was contributed to early season over training and treated with rest and an exercise program to strengthen up the posterior muscles of the rotator cuff. He needed no medication or further treatment and missed just one start in pre-season. He ended up having a great season, but as happens, rumors travel fast and the local media picked up on this situation from back in March and continued to bring it up! pull_hair
Dad, you have had a lot to brag about if you chose to do so...Eric has been knocking at the door for the past four years and has always had quite the buzz in NorCal. What a great way to finish off his high school career. He was dominant Saturday. Congratulations to E and all of DLS... they are all a class act and deserve all of the recognition.
