My 2013's HS team was knocked from the postseason last night, so time to get after the real business of finding him a college home. Hope to hear that phone ringing July 1st, either way it's going to be a fun summer.
My son's team was fortunate to extend thier season one more game after a 12 inning pitchers dual last night. Now we have the #1 seed, FL State ranked #7 team.....got their hands full tonight!

Has me wondering . . . does this happen often that coaches call right on July 1, or have most players already been trading enough emails by now to know if they are on the coaches' board?
And if the phone isn't ringing on July 1, does that tell us anything?
2013Parent, the majority of prospects do not get a phone call on July 1. And, many of those who do only get calls from one or two colleges. While everyone talks about July 1, the reality is that a lot of young men who make verbal commitments do not hear from any college coach on July 1.
Do not get worried if your son's phone doesn't ring on that day.
Not really worried about the July 1st date....i hope with the amount of HC/RC's we are planned to play in front of this summer we can get him on a roster. Let the journey begin.

Wow! Season over already? My son's varsity squad still has 6 more games to play before the district playoffs begin. Season started the 2nd week in March.

Same here. It keeps them out of lots of trouble. Idle hands … you know.
