H.S. Tryouts

The first day of tryouts or practice here in NJ is the first Friday in March (March 4th this year) per state rules. Our scrimmage schedule starts the following Friday.

Even though I am a die hard baseball fan I dont think I've ever been this anxious for the season to start!

Official tryouts begin next Tuesday! I ran into one of the co-captains of the team today, and I don't know who is more excited- him or me!! It's so close I can smell it! Yahoo for the end of winter!!!!!!! Don't suppose 50 year old guys can tryout.

You guys are lucky. I Mass. The first official day is the 3rd Monday in March, which this year makes the 1st day March 21st.

Saturday and I am freaking amped for this. I am shaking right now with adrenaline.

For us it's March 7th and we are not allowed by the school to bend the rules at all. We hear of many other schools who have been meeting every morning at 5:30 in the gym before school. The coaches call it clinics and it's open to any student, although none do. Just a way to bend a little....,

Kid called me earlier, "All PSAL activities in NYC cancelled for today"
