Just curious. We played Upper Deck Cougars at Nationals and thought maybe your son played for them.

Hey all,
I am a total newbie to this site, though I have been reading the posts for some time, joined, and haven't had much to add... yet!
My son is a 14U player, though he has a July BD and has had to play up til this past year. He played 15 U fall ball, and fit in fine.
He is a LHP, 1B, and OF. His 13U team played 60 games, travelled to Omaha, Southaven, and a Superseries National in Tulsa. Ranked #5 in the country in USSSA power ratings. They won the Missouri state USSSA AAA championships, he was on the mound for the last out, which is a lifetime memory. He also got in a dozen league games in IL for a 14U team, playing up.
Since this is my first post, I'll try to give you some info. He batted 13 for 17 in Tulsa SS, hit one over a 325 ft CF wall, hit the LF wall on a line drive, and on the big field hit the base of a 360 ft wall. The opposing coach came out of the 3B dugout to give him a high five on third in the middle of the inning!

I look forward to learning a lot from all of you. He is in 8th grade, and his HS coach has seen him play already. He practices without being asked, heck he makes us go out to hit him balls, and loves the game.

trainscout - What 14U team did your son play for in Illinois?

Waterloo Warriors, solely in the Waterloo league. They went to state, but we did not.

Cong - You never know.

CSG - They're southern Ohio teams, we live in the north. He played for Hammerheads Baseball last year but Jackson Jayhawks (his 11u and 12u team) next year.

CSG my boy played against Middie Pride in Cooperstown. Pride won the championship, eliminated us along the way. Are they viewed as a good team back in your neck of the woods?

HSBBW team roster looks pretty good. We get one more player we'll be set for an East-West/North-South or whatever all-star game.

They're probably one of the better OH teams but we've never played them.

The team that Beezer has put together looks like it would be a managers dream. I am sure besides their baseball ability that each player on the roster is a great kid and very coachable. So who is going to host this star studded event? Looks like they could compete in all the big 14U tournaments of the 2007 season.

Week 5 of 2005 at Dreams Park. The Pride were very aggressive and fast on the bases and the best bunting team I have ever seen. In one of the photos linked below it shows some of our boys rooting for Middie Pride in the Championship game since the Pride had eliminated us earlier. The Pride was the red team that night. Closing photos week 5

One of my biggest regrets is not letting Lil Beezer go. He was asked by a few teams to go. Two of them asked if he could go the exact same week which was the same week we were at States. The 3rd team's invite was for the last week of CDP and he was pretty spent plus football was starting up. Just to make matters worse, they WON! Oh well.

They thing I don't get is that the winning team doesn't even get player trophies. Yes, I realize they get rings, 2 unis, a bajillion pins and "memories to last a lifetime". But you'd think for winning they'd at least get a trophy too.

My son turned 14 in June. He is a RHP.....3finger we are not far from you. My son has played the starmakers before....Bkecs?...where are you?
