So that easily I have 11 players who were over.  That may be high but I think most P5's that are competitive have them.  A friend in Louisiana did a similar search and said LSU, Ole MIss, and MSU all have 13-15 this year that were there in the fall and won't be on roster in the spring.  Right, wrong, or indifferent it is the world of baseball today.

@pitchingfan  agree on most points. as for that is the ongoing activities that will occur during the year. The behavior of Tennessee is consistent, whereas OLE Miss reported roster size don't vary from what is documented on their website.

Again, if you are researching schools and want to understand how a school manages their roster, good information provides you the ability to ask qualified questions.

Actually your first comment has holes, I've pointed out the holes, especially related to what is shown on a school's website and what is reported to DOE.

I am under the impression that  those that are actual counters (on athletic scholarship) must be included in spring roster, that would include those that are hurt.

If you were refering to me, I was not trying to poke holes in good information. I responded to the original post regarding the waiver for the 23-24 season placed on rosters and to explain why they cannot add more scholarships with the increased rosters.

Some how it turned into a discussion on UT over recruiting, which was not the original intent of the topic.
