Softball will always be there. She can play softball the rest of her life. I knew two girls that excelled on the small baseball field, moved to the softball field and were instant stars. The boys really hated getting struck out by "The Girl"

I also knew a girl who played midget AAA hard ball and she was outstanding. She got a fastball scholarship to a university because she was outstanding at that as well.

Up until 2 years ago, our rec ball only offered slow pitch softball for girls. Quite a few of the girls would play baseball with the boys up until 6th grade. These girls excelled when they got to the Jr. High level and played fast pitch softball.

One of the 5 best 12 yo players on the local rec league where I am from was a girl, sam3e story, ended up being a fast pitch star as well.

I don't no her name, But she was a firecracker of a player.
My catcher was set up in front of the plate on his knee's with the ball thrown from the outfield on the fly right to him.

The LL Girl rounding third heading home.
And as she approuched my catcher, She jumped like a Gazzelle and completely cleared are catcher.
Landed on the plate for a run scored.
It was unbelievable.
