I recently have been talking with an NAIA school, and the school is reinstating the baseball program my freshman year. Basically, I am getting a good chunk of cash to attend the school, and would get 4 solid years of playing time. Do you think I should pursue this? Is there a possibility with success I could transfer up to D1? Any help with this would be extremely appreciated for this is a tough decision I have to make.

Gametime,
Only you can decide if this is the right fit. Getting a chunk of cash, doesn't mean you will be happy. And how can you guarantee you will have 4 years of solid playing time?
I am assuming you are not 100% sure or you would not be asking for advice. You need to talk this out with your folks, go through the pros and cons and then let then help you make the decision.

There are always possibilities of transfer.
It would be very helpful if you'd answer these questions: (1) Is this a school you would be interested in if you didn't play baseball? (2) When will you graduate? (3)Have you actively "marketed" yourself to other programs you are interested in, and if so, how? (4) Have you received interest from any other baseball programs? (5) Have you been evaluated at any showcases and have you received any kind of rating that indicates what type of potential you have? (6) What position do you play?
Bee is correct. My son whom is a freshman presently playing at a D2 was told by a D1 coach that if he transferred to a JUCO for his sophomore year that he could then play for this particular D1 school as a junior. A fransfer to a D1 school from another 4 year institution (NAIA, D3, D2) is an automatic sit down for one year.
