It’s kids playing baseball. Introduce them. Play ball! If LL wants to politicize the LLWS I’m out. I watched yesterday. I was interested in who would win today until I tuned in to a political rally.

Didn't see it, but does ESPN broadcast anything without a politic slant?
I don’t want to get into my interpretation of what I felt I was seeing. I don’t want to start a thread on a certain very political subject.
ESPN is the gutter of sports broadcasting. They are constantly trying to dredge up controversy and off the field issues. Because of their monopoly of so many sports events, I of course watch ESPN, but not without discontent.
What's ESPN?
I haven’t watched ESPN programming in years. Follow Clay Travis on Twitter, he keeps it real when talking about ESPN.
Did I miss it? Watching the replay of the game right now and still didn't see it...
What was so political?

That word is like the n word or the f word or many others. It says more about the person who says it than the person it is used to describe.
I feel the same about the term "change up" but pitchers don't seem to care.
cmon take a breath it is ESPN they jumped the shark tank years ago and only want to farther.

I figure when the name calling starts intelligence has left the building.
i purposely didn’t post what I saw that prompted me to comment. I didn’t want a political post. But what I saw jumped out at me. Some people have asked “what politics?” Part of the lyrics of the song by the kids was almost the same as what anti gun protester David Hogg says when he’s firing up the crowd at anti gun rallies. I doubt it’s a coincidence.
Let’s not have a pro gun, anti gun debate. This is a baseball site. I was annoyed there was a political lean to the show. I would have been just as annoyed if it was a pro right lean. A kid’s sporting event should not be used for political reasons. Kid should not be used for politics. They don’t understand the complexities.
I didn't see it, so I have no comment. And I agree that name calling isn't helpful. I also agree that this is not the place to discuss gun issues. However, since you brought him up, I think it would be more fair and accurate to refer to David Hogg as a school massacre survivor and gun control advocate than as an "anti gun protester".

Hogg is both, my friend.

That's quite a stretch.

Because Clay Travis isn't political, at all?
Clay Travis is smart, funny and more importantly entertaining. ESPN is a dumpster fire. Got any marshmallows?
This is certainly not my site of choice for political conversation. In fact, I would prefer not to know anything about the political leanings of posters here.

IDK, not having heard of him I did a search. On one hand it would be pretty traumatic to experience what he did. On the other he likes to drop the f-bomb, is pretty opinionated, described law enforcement at his HS as "racist cops", and called for a boycott of a commentator who said something about him he didn't like.

You already did

Even if he is, who cares? It's as much his constitutional right to have his point of view as anyone else to have theirs.
Please take political arguments elsewhere.
