IHSA Fall Team Rules

Do any of you know what the rule is for a fall team to play against juco teams? This isn't a particular high school team, it is a missouri team with some illinois high school players on it. Games are just pickup games and no score is kept. Would it be a violation of IHSA rules to play? If so, mine will be on the bench!

First....

Get a WRITTEN opinion from the IHSA that your son can play in the games that you have proposed.

Be detailed in your presentation to the IHSA and do not permit him to play until you receive a written opinion of eligibility from the IHSA.

Ask the high school coach and AD, too. Maybe they can shed some light on the subject.

If your son is a "hamburger" no one will complain and fall ball will be fun. If he is a "player", somehow someone will find out and if there is some type of "technical or hypertechnical violation" ,he might be ineligible next spring.

Get the eligibility permission resolved in writing and only in WRITING from the IHSA only!

Yes you will be in violation to IHSA rules, you cannot compete with college players no matter if its not for and "official score" Last year my son too played with a Mo team part time that played some Juco teams and the Illinois players were not allowed to be there. Be careful there are always people watching......
