These are the times that try mens souls.

A rain out tonite is likely. It'll be Kevin Brown either way and Pedro on Friday if it rains. If it is played on Thursday, then you are probably looking at Pedro for 3 or 4, Arroyo for 2 or 3, then Wakefield for 1 or 2.

I am hoping they get the game in tonite. The Yankees bullpen is burned worse than the Red Sox from 26 innings in two games. If the Yankees had Wakefiled they would be waiting for the NL winner.

They can't figure out Ortiz. Loaiza is burned. Rivera is mortal.

Obviously Schilling is the key. I assume Leiber pitches another good game. Schilling got new hi-top cleats. Schilling needs to pitch like he has all year, or its over.

The Red sox have proven they can win with Damon and Bellhorn in the tank, just not by 8 runs.
