I'll go with some smaller schools...Augustana has an outstanding D3 program. Also Aurora, Monmouth, Knox, IL Wesleyan are all pretty solid.  JJC and Heartland are excellent JUCO programs as Proud stated.

UIC is getting alot of money lately from Curtis Granderson (new facility scheduled to open 2015), I would bet they are going to attract some good players soon.

Nate is a great person and coach. He is also Heartlands AD. They were trying to consolidate positions, eliminate positions, including Nate holding the AD position. And on what he is paid as a Head Coach, w/o the AD income, they would surely lose him

Nate is one of the nicest people I know and a great baseball person.  I have had a player play for him who was able to play at a good school afterward.  Down South, you have your choice between Ohio Valley and Missouri Valley Conference schools.  You can look up the teams in both of those conferences and see what you think about the competition.
