Hey all,

As most of you know I'm coming back from Tommy John Surgery and will be attending a JUCO next fall. I'm not pitching this spring because I should have graduated in the class of 03 but took a year off because I got hurt.

I've talked to the JUCO schools that I'm thinking about attending and all of them say "the word on the street is your going to get drafted and followed" well, I haven't had a scout tell me to my face we're thinking about drafting and following you. What should I think of this? I'm not playing on a team this spring so I can't really tell how much interest there is because i'm not even playing. I know most of the scouts like I'm 6'8 and am progressing in my rehab very well. It's just funny how everyone else seems to know more than I do.

It makes sense that you would be a DFE. they retain your rights while they see how well you have come back.

TM, why do you think you need to know whats up, UR just the player. Smile...

and sometimes the last to know. Keep getting ready for school and have a good summer.
It's kind of funny that the player doesn't know as much as say a college coach. Players are like meat, they can and will do whatever they want to do with them. Of course down the road if they give me a lot of $$$ they can feel free to treat me any way they would like!!

How often do scouts not tell a player anything and just draft them? I had one "bird dog" say "A lot more people know about you than you think. Your someone that a lot of people don't know because your hurt and some want to keep it that way"

I'm looking forward to going to college. I'm not really worried about the draft. Whatever happens happens!
