Yesterday I caught a small clip from one of these "news shows" that's really a comedy parody.

Announcer: I want to welcome David Beckham to our country. And I don't mind at all that he's an immigrant.

Besides, he's coming to do a job that no American is willing to do...

...play socker.

They were nuts to sign him for $50 Million. Of course the media will stuff him down our throats because he belongs in the Paris Hilton class of meaningless celebrities. I'd be surprised if he's more than a blip on the radar unless he can act and starts making movies which was his real motivation for coming here.

I agree, pf.

I've seen him play on tv a few times and there was absolutely nothing remarkable about him.

Just another guy in shorts running around for 90 minutes and not scoring.

Most boring sport in the history of "relevant" mankind.
