For all the problems with the weather...I have to think the coaches are happy they will actually have more time to practice ( even if it is indoors ) instead of playing games in extreme conditions. The fact that most districts don't allow spring travel just makes a bad situation even worse because of tghe weather. If you could travel to Kentucky, St. Louis, Tennessee the issues with early games woulod be moot. But we live in Ilinois where common sense is a joke. Curious how the HS coaches see this issue.

St. Charles North came down to southern Illinois last year. We played them one game and I think they played 3-4 more. I believe our game was the first time they had been on the field!

Homewood-Flossmor or something like that is coming down to play at Waterloo this spring right after Easter I believe. I would assume they are playing several games down in southern Illinois that week.
Anyone who passes "Lake Wolters" will know we won't be playing Grant on 3/15. Every year it seems, this game is a washout, freeze out, etc. Our next game, 3/22, is in doubt as well. But we go to Germantown, TN for 3 games during spring break this year. Years past had HP going to Springfield. Several years most of those games were not played. So we're looking forward to TN, most likly our first games of the year.

We're still getting sleet. Also, pocket of intense thunder snow while other areas are getting nothing. We're out of school again. Not much snow here but it seems like a lot of sleet. Supposed to pick up by noon.
The snow finally missed us for once. We are fortunate enough to have spring break in late March this year which will allow us to tie into a tournament in Louisville, KY. We (Oak Forest) leave Monday morning and will play four games before we come back home on Friday. Hoping the weather is better down there; at least warmer. Today we will hit at another facility for 45 minutes and then go outside and take some fly balls and pop ups for half an hour to 45 minutes. At least we are getting out.
