LW2ndbase30.. sorry, don't know how to use AOL messenger!

For speed I would first recommend to get into good cardio shape, and develop lean muscle-mass through weight-lifting (if you're over 16). Once this base is established, try alternating between sprints and poles. Lunges and plyometric training are also excellent.
One other thing, while raw speed is very important, work on becoming an aggresive, yet disciplined baserunner. You should always be looking for the extra base. So many times someone overshoots a cutoff man, throws past the mound, or on a steal the ball bounces away and the runner wasn't aware or slid sloppily and stays where he was. Be the type guy who makes them pay for all these mistakes. Be calculating and smart as a runner and don't make the first or third out at third on a tag. Learn to hook slide to avoid tags and the pop up slide to be immediately ready to move to the next base. If you slide head first have your head turned toward the outfield to see throws that get away. In other words, if you rub a 7.75 60yds you already have speed that can be made to play. Work on these things as you work on increasing your raw speed. Learn to get maximum leads and good jumps.
