Now that the HS season has begun, son will probably pitch mid-week and again on Saturdays.

Should he continue his tubing and long-toss programs? His summer team schedule will be so busy, he won't be doing anything but playing, but the HS season is much slower and it would be good if he could stay on top of his workouts -- just not sure it's wise??

Should he take a break from tubing and tossing, or continue through with it until his summer team takes over??

Depends. What is his current schedule with the long toss and tubing?

If he's pitching twice a week and throwing one bullpen a week then I'd recommend that he only long toss as part of his warmup for the bullpen or pitching. The tubing can be done every day.

It is usually a good idea to take two consecutive days a week off from throwing to allow tendons and ligaments some minimal time to repair. I'd recommend light throwing the other two days a week. The problem is that if he's pitching once midweek and once on Saturday he probably isn't going to get two days in a row off from throwing.

Lot's of different approaches on this. You should get plenty of different suggestions.
