In the minors at 34

From knowing the dad I've followed this guy throughout the journey. What I noticed when I watched him warmup before minor league games is I don't think anyone on the field has more fun playing baseball. And he's fortunate to have a supportive wife.

Too bad nobody's yet given him even a September call up, but it's hard to feel too sorry for a guy who gets paid to do what he loves. I'm sure he'll catch on as a coach and climb the ladder quickly as soon as he's ready.

I wish he would write a book about his life in the minors. The articles he wrote while playing in japan brought me to tears with laughter.
