A friend of my son's is trying to continue his baseball career after college and is looking for independent league opportunities. He's a RHP who throws in the low 90s, but had labrum surgery in the off-season and had an okay, but not outstanding, 2023 season.
Anyone have insight on independent baseball or is there a good thread somewhere I should check? The ones I found looked pretty old.

You can do a search on Google under Independent Baseball Leagues.
Son played for the Long Island Ducks. It was a lot of fun, met great contacts and led him to an opportunity to play in Mexico.

I do know of a LHP who out of college played for the Pecos league. It was not a great experience for him. Maybe because he was traded within the league and he didn't get picked up by a milb team.

I don't remember reading any old threads about Indy ball - and I read a lot of old threads! I did a quick search and, like you, turned up not much. It's not something that has been much discussed on this site.
Maybe because even though a lot of discussion on here is about college baseball, that is relevant for high-school players/parents as they are thinking about colleges. Most HS players are not yet thinking about independent leagues after college.
