Really good topic. Water is the best way to go for during games. A carb drink a couple hours before a game (or solid carbs) has been shown to be beneficial for performance. Post game, water. Post workout, I like to have a solid meal with some water...I hate protein shakes. During workout I drink BCAA+Citrulline Malate to improve endurance and increase protein sythesis, but its not necessary. My favorite it Scivation Xtend.
