What can you any of you tell me about getting an invitation to the Az Instructional league after the minor league season is over?  I understand it is comprised of about 40 - 45 Single A  or lower echelon players for a month of hands on training and an invitation is to be regarded as a positive step for a young player.  Is there any more info that can shed light on what is to be expected?

I don't know how much it varies from team to another, but they are all anything like my son did last year it was about some physical training and practicing at their position and playing about a 12 games for instruction during live game situations and more evaluation.  There's really no pressure on performing as this is a time as "Instructional" is the emphasis as it suggests.

If a player has an invitation to go to Instructionals, I'd say is really not a wise move not to go.  Unfortunately, the player doesn't get paid for being there or for transportation . . ., but housing is provided.
