I apologize if this has been posted before, but I just ran across it. It sorts the information by which major leaguer went to what college...interesting and fun:
Thanks. I have never seen that before. It is fun to check out schools and see who went where ... nice to see my son's school has actually had 10 MLB players. (Know it doesn't compare to some alumni stats, but it's better than a kick in the fanny.)
Just wanted to point out a Mr. Sandy Koufax, from my alma mater, University of Cincinnati. Go Bearcats! (Not much else to brag about baseball-wise.)
Actually, he was there on a basketball scholarship...the JV basketball coach was also the baseball coach and got him to play both. He was only there a year before the Dodgers signed him. We'll still claim him though!
22 people went to University of Nebraska probably the bst one is Darrin Erstad but I alrdy knew he went to UNL because he was on the husker football team as well.
Thats a cool website I've looked at before but never saw the college links. Thanks. Interesting that Yale has 23 MLB players till I see they played mostly in the 1890's. I guess they were a power "back in the day".
