if you call and invite a coach to watch you play, will they for the most part want to come or blow you off. I have a tourny for club ball next weekend, would it be too late to invite a local school.

TrickDaddy - I couldn't confirm this with a quick search, but I believe we are in a "quiet period" right now which means coaches cannot leave their campus to evaluate potential recruits. If memory serves me correctly, this period lasts until early January...at which point they will be practicing and not very available anyways.
A piece of pretty simple advice...I would send your entire Winter and Spring schedule (as opposed to one event at a time) to the colleges you are most interested in. They will attend if they desire...sometimes they may know someone who is there and rely on their opinion instead of being there themselves. There are also rules about how many of them can be off campus evaluating at one time...all of these things play into how/when they will see you.

The next contact/evaluation period for D1 coaches is March 1 through July 31. We are in a quiet period from now until then except for a Dead period during the convention.

If you really interested in a particular college attend their winter camp
