Who Got It?

They narrowed it down to me and one other guy. I told them that I couldnt take it for family reasons and would be staying at Allen. Not sure who the other guy is, but I heard it was an assistant at SGP.

Just curious DFW, why interview if you had to stay in Allen for family reasons in the first place?

Sometimes things occur after the interview process.

I know they interviewed another finalist yesterday. Should name the new coach within the next couple of days.

Generally when you apply and go in for an interview you don't know all the specifics. Then you get to the interview and find out details and then come home and discuss them with your family. Sometimes it doesn't work. Whoever gets it, Im sure they will do a good job. Coach De La Torre is an Irving guy and wants to do what is best for the program overall. This will be a huge benefit to whomever takes the job.

Does anybody know if they opened this job back up?

Ben Sartor. He was the varsity assistant at Haltom City this past year.

Who took his place over at Haltom? I saw the posting a few weeks ago.

I believe Blevins was going to promote from within. He has good coaches over there.
