So after playing 2 of 4 scrimmages so far and missing the first game of the season because of weather, I've been secretly wishing that as many games as possible will be cancelled this season.

This last scrimmage my son caught 2 innings and then pitched 2 innings.  My son's accuracy was not good because he was throwing more with his arms.  This was due to his legs, IMO, being tired from catching.

The coach has done this in both scrimmages and my son struggled with accuracy.

My son never caught and pitched in a game last year so I'm hoping this won't happen this year.

I just don't want to go to a game worrying if my son's arm will be abused.

Too cold for baseball?  You are kidding right?  I agree, it is too cold.  I would not worry about performing both duties for two innings each, but I would be concerned about how much actual warm up is given prior to pitching, the cool down afterwards, and what type of winter gear is worn to protect the arm (winter wear).

Good luck!

Your headline had me wanting to just say YES! It's always wrong to want games to be canceled!

But you're obviously serious, lion ... so I'd just suggest that you need to pull out all the stops to:

- protect your son's arm, AND

- look forward to him playing THIS season.

None of us is guaranteed a tomorrow, after all.
