First off, there is no way you have 20 '09 Prospects in 6-5A or else that is the most stacked district there has ever been.

And you are Crazy if you dont think the 08 Dallas Tigers could comptete with 07 teams and ESPICALLY 09 teams for that matter. I played for about half the season on that team, and from top to bottom that team can play some baseball, so before you go hating on the '08 class start looking at big game starters at the various schools.

I can tell you for a fact our #1 is a Junior and I'm sure we're not the only ones.

Come to think of it last year the Dallas Patriots 16s won the Don Mattingly World Series. I guess over stated the point but the point was still valid, 07 is a great class and 09 has a chance to match-up with them but still has a lot to prove. The DFW 08's I am sure their fair share of players but overall much lesser than the 07 / 09 crews.

Jesuitbaseball.

Facts are I saw several 09 select teams beat your Dallas Tiger 08 crew over several years, but may be they added some talent or grew into a better team. I wouldn't have named your crew, remember you did not me.

Also: For the purpose of this discussion, let's say a "prospect" is a boy that will play at the next level. Here is a quick list for you off the top of my head: Cole Green, J Kaskow, Cameron Watten, Chris Castillo ( for give the self promotion)D. De La Chapelle,Nick Popescu,Tant Shepard, Zach Neal, Jimmie Pharr ( I think FM might have another as well). I'm at 9 on just 2 teams, Terrance Jackson ( Newman Smith) ,and Pressly from Marcus makes 11. After that it might take some effort, I don't know Herbon or Creekview well enough but I only think the Lewisville #1, Choate (?) might already have signed.

Someone else in 6 - 5A please help add to the list. If it isn't 20 it is very close.
Ummm Meats... we've played the 09 Tigers multiple times... never lost... first game of the year... we usually dominate. I'm a little ticked... yes. When we were 15 we played almost exclusively 18 and 16 year old tournaments. We played one 15 year old team that year and beat them 7-4 with our number 4 or 5 on the mound and playing sloppy baseball. Last year we were around 50-10 (aproximately)... with 3 losses in the first weekend. At one point, winning 23 straight. 2 losses to teams especially assembled for tournaments when we only had 10 players. I apologize to everyone for my defensiveness... get the facts straight.

I want to personally apologize to Meats... I'm a little fired up over the Aggies loss... and I'm not even an Aggie fan. Having said that, ask around... my memory doesn't fault me much. Also, you are aware that there were multiple Tiger teams... so therefore you may be talking about another team. Jbb was referencing the 16 year old team of last year (there was only one if I'm not mistaken). Once again, I'm sorry.

All I got to say is my son turns 1 next month.

He is switch hitting and his pop time is under 2.0.

Do any of you know of a team that would allow him to play up next summer.

His advisor and I are looking for a 12U team for him to play for.

Unfortunately, we are still deciding what district to move into as right now we are interviewing HS coaches and programs.

Seriously, he is a stud. Doctor says he is in the 90th percentile on the growth charts which will definately put him on the stud charts by his freshman year.

Also, any summer teams interested please understand we will play only as a scholarship player. We have already emptied our bank account loading up on camps and showcases around the country.

This is serious, my son is the best.

Moved to the country and will be attending a 3A HS regards,

As I hope there is more emphasis put into the ag. program than baseball.

If you want to see Walker pitch i would wait until the playoffs. Lets just say the district Arlington Heights is in isn't the best.. It is more of a football/basketball district.

Hopefully there will be a playoff game more my direction (North) that I can catch. Keep us posted on when/where they are playing and who is projected to start when the playoffs roll around.

I can't verify Walker Kelly's record; however, I CAN say that my son says he is the best pitcher he has ever faced (select and high school). And, heck... Walker's just a little ole 4A ball player who probably couldn't even compete against those big 5A teams. Big Grin

Some people think if someone HITS the ball, it's a hit. That could be the case.

To add to the 08's, there was a no hitter by 08' Kevin Cosgrove against a little better team than FW. South Hills. He had a pefect game through 4 maybe 5 and this was against South Grand Prairie.

And this is our #2 pitcher and for blackhawk32 dtiger and kev are #1 and #2 most likely for the rest of the season, not for right now.

congrats kev.

It was through 5 1/3 innings...and I previously stated that Kyle was the #1 now, as in due to unfortunate circumstances...but you seem to not get it...Jake. Pretty sure kevo and dtiger caught on and perhaps TS

Great job W. Kelly, but South Hills is terrible. I know two Freshman that combined for a (2) hit, 5 inning, run rule

Not to diminish anything walker has done but, district 7-4A has nine teams and south hills is ranked 3rd. South Hills and the other six teams behind them are "terrible" baseball teams,(track and basketball are another story) stats from that district are pretty abnormal. Just saying...

No, I didn't see the game. But I heard he was on that day. He's got to be the top 08 pitcher in the state and maybe the country.

OP.... theres a kid from georgetown (Taylor Jungmann), that is better...Not to mention a couple others from the Houston area that are comparable. Iv'e known walker since he was 8 years old, nothing negative about him to say the least... Jungmann may be the best position player around too...
