How everybody doing, this may be kinda lengthy so I just want to apologize before you contiune reading. First off my name is Choctaw Taylor,I've been playing baseball for quite some time now. Was ranked in highschool, and was a pretty average catcher. I was being looked at by acouple big name schools, because of my arm & bat speed; but was quickly turnt away because of my grades. So that lead me to playing at a juco. So to get to the heart of the story, acouple of things happen in my life while I was playing at the juco college, which kinda lead me away from baseball & more to focus on my life, and figure myself out. But I ran into a old coach & a rush of memories came back, which now leading me to want to go back & purse baseball. I feel I can play again, I was going to make the transition to outfielder. My only thing is I don't want to play in-state, the distraction here will do nothing but lead me away from the sport I love. So my question is how do I get in contact with out of state coaches, that will give me a shot. That's all I'm looking for is a shot, one shot that's all i need. So is it too late for me, or should I give it one more go?

I think that is the heart of it. Sounds like you are now mature and know yourself well enough to direct your energy in the direction of your talent. You seem very realistic about the challenge. I'd be surprised if you can't find somebody to give you the shot you are looking for. It also feels to me like you would regret it if you didn't try.

Good luck. You have me pulling for you.

Not meaning to rain on the hiatus parade, yet.....

- Where did you play in Summer 2010?

- Where did you play in Summer 2011?

- Where will you be playing in 2012?

- Why are you thinking about transitioning from C to OF?

- Foot speed and bat will dictate capability for OF play. Are you a 7.5 sec 60 yard guy?

- What is your arm strength from the mound?
77 mph?

- How is your management of weight?

- Did you complete JUCO and receive a 2 yr cert?

Club ball....... tryouts for Independant Ball .....
some Men's Baseball League...... may yield atonement and scratch your itch.

Good luck to you.
