Is this an NFHS rule?

Playoff game was washed out in the 4th inning, with one team leading 5-1.

They scratched the game and started over the next day. There was a lot of chatter about why not just pick the game up where it left off, and one person said that starting over was an NFHS rule, not a rule from our state governing body.

Does anyone know if this is true?

I would have thought the game would resume, not start over.

I think each state has control over this. In Kentucky if you are playing a game in a tournament of any kind then you pick up where you left off but a regular season game starts over. But not 100% sure.

It is a state adoption rule. Md picks it up where it left off.
