It's a great time of the year for sure. And I get a double dose with my daughter and son both trying to make runs to Round Rock!! It's my daughters last try and my sons first!! I doesn't get any better than this!!

Good luck to all teams, players, coaches, families, etc. Everyone drive careful and may the best team win!!
I'm old....with a grandchild....my memory and eyesight aren't what they once were....(and those may not have been the first things to go)....

But I'll never forget the 2003 PE run to the Region II finals -- series against Bryan Adams, Lufkin, Naaman Forrest, the Woodlands, and Round Rock.

PantherSon3's team has never made the playoffs.....I'm envious of those of you that get to experience it this year.

ENJOY! Smile
maybe next year, P-Diddy, maybe next year ..... but granddaughter will be up and running 'round by that time, so you may not "see" games anymore like you used to -- at least one of your eye's will be keeping up with her! (good umpire training, though, for when you retire and take a part-time job behind the plate)
There is definitely some excitement at my house these days. Northwest Texans finally made it to the playoffs for the first time in 21 years! What a neat way for my son to end his senior year. Winning that 2nd place district spot last Saturday will be a memory he will forever cherish. He has been smiling all week.

Go Texans!

lew,

That "dog-pile" on the mound after the last out was a "keeper" moment!
Texas private schools are a little further along in their playoffs with regional games being played today and tomorrow. My son's TAPPS 5A team won regionals today and is headed to state next week. It's the school's first trip to state in baseball and, as you can imagine, we are all elated! Good luck to all the other teams out there in the playoffs -- both private and public!
