It will be hard to get any work done today as son has first game today. Just can't wait. Son's first year on hs varsity - startig at 3rd base and slated to pitch two innings. Clear skies and about 60 degress. It is going to be a wonderful afternoon. Good luck to him and to all your son's upcoming seasons. This the best time of the year. Anyone else have games today or soon?

That's Hadlock Field in Portland. They have the imitation Green Monster. My son went to his first pro game there. He met Brent Strom (former MLB'er and coach for visiting team). Strom gave him a baseball.

Ahhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That felt good. The first baseball fix of the season. It all came back - butterflys before the game, the nerves as son is it at the plate for the first at bat of the season. It was great. Hope you all get your first fix very soon.

infielddad - did not see your post until after the game. Will do next game as I am sure we will play them again.
