LSU and Louisville took big drops. Did they really lose that much talent?

LSU lost Robertson, Freeman, Deichmann, Papierski from their lineup.
Lange and Poche’ from the rotation.
I’m not sure who else.
YoungGun?
Call me a homer, but I do not think Cal is getting the love it deserves. They were turning into a very good team at the end of last season, and most of the key guys will be back.

The good thing is the rankings don’t matter and they get to prove it on the field.

I wish LSU (and SEC network) would lose Ben McDonald from all the broadcasts !

C’mon man!
You gotta love a guy who eats possum. :-)
And PG coverage as well: www.perfectgame.org/Articles/View.aspx?article=14815
Have a relative on Stanford. Hope he sees the field this year. What are they seeing in Duke? That program has never really done too much and they were .500 for most of the past decade. Haven't won the ACC think sixties or seventies. Not a hater I'd like to see them do well!

Ben McDonald adds a little cajun seasoning to baseball. It's fun to listen to him talk about playing three years of college baseball while only taking classes for three semesters during that time? I especially like his story about how Cal Ripken called pitches for him for the first 2-3 years of his Orioles career.

Well then, you can have him and all of his cornpone country nonsense. Unless you are an LSU fan (and I'm not) I don't know how you stand that guy. Biggest homer ever !!

Yes we lost a lot. Our Sunday starter had Tommy John surgery in July and will miss the 2018 season. So we are having to replace our entire starting lineup along with catcher, middle infield and RF. That was a lot of offense to replace. But hey, it just opens some opportunities for others to step up. We will see. Hopefully it just motivates our kids.
I hear you ShoveIt!!
All total we lost 18 guys off last year’s team either to draft, graduation or dismissal. Maybe up to 20 actually.
