Can't sign it until tomorrow....but the NLI showed up in my son's email today.  Not sure that this whole thing seemed real until the paperwork was actually printed...and he can hold it in his hand.  It's been a long, fun (not always) ride....glad to finally have it all be "official".  Congrats to everyone whose sons are finishing up this process this week.  Can't wait for next fall to see him get going.

Agree Buckeye. Son will be signing tomorrow am and it does make the process seem more real. I hope everyone has a fun, injury-free senior year. My son is looking forward to his senior year, but he does have an eye on June 8, which is the first day of summer semester. He will enroll early to get a couple of classes behind him and figure out the "lay of the land" so he can hit the ground running in the fall. I am certainly a very proud dad as I know all of you are as well.

Well said. Congrats all.  Son will be enrolling early also.  Printed out the NLI this morning.  Faxes will be lit up in the A.M.!  I would also like to wish everyone an injury free Sr. season.

I would like to say what an amazing site this is! I might not post much, but I think I have read every post on this site at some point over the last few years. Son was one of the "early" commits, his dream school offered early sophomore year, and he accepted. I have to admit I have been nervous and worried about how this would all play out. He has kept in touch with his coaches, and always felt very confident they were happy with what they continued to see of his progress. We did enjoy a nice official visit weekend this fall and his NLI came today. His high school has a "signing day" party planned, and its starting to feel very real. My son would be just as thrilled with the family, dog included, being the extent of his hoopla, but he understands its a boost to his school to get to pat themselves on the back a little. His journey has been drama free, I must admit. He has played on a high profile travel team, against some quality competition, played in many PG events, and we have put thousands of miles on our cars, but I would not trade the nights in hotels or the pulling in the driveway at 5am so he could go to school that day for anything. My buddy will also start college next summer, I think that is great to get the kids a few credits under their belts, without the pressure of fall ball, and to learn the campus and get used to living with their teammates, etc.

For any and all who have helped along the way, by posting and sharing your experiences, I thank you.

5 D1's on the same team....lol.  Wow, what a difference from one school to another.   I'm trying to recall them all, but I think my son is the 4th D1 commit from our school....in the past 25 years....lol.   His HS summer team from this past summer has 10 D1's and a couple D2's....but HS has been nothing like that....

5 months ago 2013 did not know where he would be playing or attending school this year.  He left a Juco that he played at last year ( full ride combo)  to pursue other schools due to it being a poor fit for him......

I was nervous, leaving a school that's free and having no school .

Fast forward to today, and he's playing at top Juco and signing at a top OVC school for 2016.....

Very happy for your #1 son! It just goes to prove sometimes you never know. Don't count out hard work and perseverance... It will take you a long way.
