Another busy day at Lew Hays PONY Field, with a tripleheader in tournament play, including two elimination games, the first of the World Series. We'll also celebrate the 1960 Oak Park-River Forest, IL World Championship's 50th Anniversary..

West Zone champion Corona, CA makes its debut, taking on East Zone champion Chesterfield County, VA at 3 pm. Then, Johnstown and Hermosillo square off with the winner staying in the tournament. The final game of the night, also an elimination game, pits Mon Yough against Medina Valley.

Colt World Series (15u - 16u)

A Loeb Stadium crowd of 2,557 watched the West Lafayette right-hander pitch out of a first-inning jam before settling into a consistent rhythm of getting ahead in the count with curveballs. Ghiselli scattered eight hits, striking out eight and walking none.
