It's official - ETSU's Moore leads final NCAA stats

Moore put together one of the best seasons in ETSU history, shattering the school batting average record, previously held by outfielder Steve Meredith who batted .419 in 1988. He also broke the ETSU and Southern Conference doubles records.

Moore led the Bucs with 59 runs scored, a .752 slugging percentage and a .529 on-base percentage. Moore was also second on the Bucs with nine home runs and third on the squad with 45 RBIs.

Which once again prompts me to ask... why wasn't Caleb Moore drafted? In whatever round? As I said before, I don't know him nor have ever seen him play, however, I can read stats.

Is he perhaps considered to be undraftable? Attitude problems? Wants toouch money? Can anyone lend some insight to this question???

You might want to take a look at prior years stats and even this years summer stats.

I know Caleb Moore very well and was surprised he was not drafted in the early rounds of the first day. He is a first-class young man, has a wonderful attitude, is not greedy, and has a great work ethic. He is powerfully built and has a cannon of an arm. He consistently puts up good numbers. He is a gamer. Caleb is also a high academic achiever. Don’t read anything more into it but the stupidity of the draft system and its bias toward mainstream programs. Caleb is quite capable of playing at the next level.

As I said I don't know Caleb Moore nor have ever seen him play. I'm quite sure he is a fine young man. The only reason I ask the question as to why he was not drafted, quite frankly, is that I am verry curious. I mean, let's face it, I don't care in what Div. I conference you play... to sustain such numbers throughout an entire season is a monster feat. To top the list of all Div I players in a field of 285 nationwide teams is something that should have made someone stand up and take notice. 285 teams in Div I equates to how many players? Thousands! Why dn't some team take him as a draft and follow and see how he does this summer and next year? Someone must have an explanation that makes some sense. What about his coaches?

By the way, where is he playing this summer?
