"It's Only Me" The Ted Williams We Hardly Knew

My daughter gave me the book and tape 4 years ago and I play it before I visit a baseball game and talk with the parents.

We recently returned from the USA Baseball Labor Day tournament and our SSK '18 finished 2nd. Our players received a motivation lesson from the tape.

GED10DaD- What a great informational piece to have. I would love to read/listen to that...although I would never be able to ask you for an autographed copy. I believe that should be something that is cherished, especially being from an icon like Ted Williams

Thanks very much. Very interesting read. I had just finished the (reasonably) new Willie Mays biography when "It's Only Me" arrived. One point of contrast is that the Willie Mays book takes the reader through every bit of his baseball career without ever letting you get close enough to understand the man. In the Williams book, there are only incidental references to his baseball career but you do feel like you understand more about him when you finish.

Just wanted to bump this thread. I just received the book in the mail from Swampboy and plan on reading it over next week, when I'm on Thanksgiving break from school. Just wanted to bump this up again. I just received "Its Only Me" by John Underwood, today from JH and I am about halfway through it. Its a great read. Anyone who loves Ted Williams will truly appreciate its different perspective. Very little baseball, a whole lot about Ted Williams the man. I will gladly pass it on to any HSBBwebber, unless GED10 wants me to send it back. Please PM me your address.

GED10 - I just noticed this post. I sent it on to someone in NH within a week of when I received it, but I deleted the PM with their information. There was someone else who emailed me their address looking for the book, and I remember passing that on as well.

I will try to do a little detective work to see if I can come up with their address.
