I have a mint, autographed copy of the Ted Willims "It's Only Me" hardback book written by long-time companion and friend John Underwood. It is a very blunt and straight forward book. The book includes a 60 minute audio CD of very candid moments and conversations with Ted about life, hunting/fishing, and baseball.

I will gladly send it to anyone who would like to read it, the only thing I ask is you send it on to someone in the HSBBWeb family when you are finished with the book.

GED10DAD,
Thanks very much. Very interesting read. I had just finished the (reasonably) new Willie Mays biography when "It's Only Me" arrived. One point of contrast is that the Willie Mays book takes the reader through every bit of his baseball career without ever letting you get close enough to understand the man. In the Williams book, there are only incidental references to his baseball career but you do feel like you understand more about him when you finish.

JH,
I believe you're next in line to receive the book. Please PM me with your mailing address and I'll send it along.
Just wanted to bump this thread. I just received the book in the mail from Swampboy and plan on reading it over next week, when I'm on Thanksgiving break from school. If anyone would like me to send it along after I'm done, please send me a PM with your mailing information and I'd be glad to (I suppose it will have to be on a "first come, first serve" basis so whoever gets me their info first gets the book first). Thanks again to GED10 and Swampboy for the generosity.
Just wanted to bump this up again. I just received "Its Only Me" by John Underwood, today from JH and I am about halfway through it. Its a great read. Anyone who loves Ted Williams will truly appreciate its different perspective. Very little baseball, a whole lot about Ted Williams the man. I will gladly pass it on to any HSBBwebber, unless GED10 wants me to send it back. Please PM me your address.
GED10 - I just noticed this post. I sent it on to someone in NH within a week of when I received it, but I deleted the PM with their information. There was someone else who emailed me their address looking for the book, and I remember passing that on as well.

I will try to do a little detective work to see if I can come up with their address.
