Don't forget PG, that Shonn Greene is also a South Jersey native. So you can't take full credit for him. I read a story in the local paper that the Jets had him ranked as the 19th best player in last years draft, and not having a 2nd round pick after trading up for Sanchez, they did it again with most of the rest of their picks, in order to get to SG. The Jets just could not believe he was still on the board.
Iowa gets a few great football players from NJ.

TR, Maybe what the Jets saw in him was that he was the Doak Walker winner as the top back in college football last year. And that he is an absolute monster who can run over people and also run away from them.

Hard to figure out how he got to the third round, but it sure looks like it worked out well for the Jets.
